Poetry of Georgia Eggers
A loved one lost
A torn shirt that holds the memories
Those of a man who walked through time
He became a legend that has no end
A broken necklace of a woman scorned
She lived and laughed and is held in the hearts of many
But now those who loved her hear her voice no more
A ragged teddy bear of a playful child
Lost toys found here and there bringing tears
Bare little feet echo where they used to run
Those left behind cry and hope the pain will be calmed
They wonder if those who passed are well and happy
Low spirits find comfort in forgotten memories
In memory of my Grandma Helen
Spring Rain
Bubbles floating through the trees.
Light swiftly following the willow’s sway.
Rain beating a quiet rhythm.
Squish of stepping feet.
Drip of water falling off of green fingers.
Chirps of bathing birds.
Smells of grass and wet ground.
Dancing leaves spin till the day is calm.
Washing away the mess of yesterdays.
Laughing joy of another day come.
